Description
Pudding Creek Beach is below an old wooden train trestle that now is a multi-use recreational trail bridge in MacKerricher State Park. Pudding Creek flows down onto the beach sometimes crossing the sand and at other times just pooling up behind it. The beach is in a deep sandy cove at the creek mouth and has high rock walls all around it. Footpaths meander all over the bluff around this beach leading to many places to take pictures from. One place in particular that should be discovered is a huge tidal pool below the rocks on the point just north of the beach. On the other side of that point is a hidden narrow sandy beach called the Old Haul Road Beach. The paved Haul Road Trail heads north to Virgin Creek Beach and continues all the way to MacKerricher Main Beach. Hiking trails follow the bluff south to Glass Beach not far away.
