California State Capitol Building, Capital District State Museums and State Capitol Park

The State’s Civic Center sits on more than 7000 sq. ft.land with sculpture garden, manicured grounds, fountain, rotunda. The Capitol exterior offers bell tower and dome, the interior has green motif, molded ceilings, patterned green carpeting, 80 antique legislators’ desks, presidential podium, gallery, auditorium and museum facilities. Surrounding the Capitol is 40 acres of gardens. The lush green park is host to thousands of tourists each year as well as some of the most beautiful roses and trees around. There are gardens in the surrounding Capitol Park, including trees from around the world.
