The Abbey Company Long Beach Hangar is a 206,857 square foot hangar/industrial facility and two story office building spanning over 10 acres just off the 405 freeway. Located at 3205 Lakewood Boulevard in northern Long Beach, it is the only property of its kind in the rapidly growing Los Angeles/Orange County area. Built by Kajima Construction for Advanced Aerodynamics & Structural, Inc. (AASI), the facility was completed in September 1998. This property is subject to a 30-year ground lease, plus a 10-year option with the City of Long Beach. The City has signed a long-term lease coterminous with the ground lease, expiring on January 13, 2038 for 114,465 square feet of the property. This 114,465 square feet consists of 102,864 square feet of two story office and single story warehouse as well as an estimated 11,601 square feet of hangar space.
