After winding along rolling hills and passing through the picturesque Anderson Valley, Highway 128 suddenly takes you through an eleven-mile-long forest tunnel of second growth redwoods. A magnificent sight. Siutated nearly in parellel with the Navarro River.
People who visit the park can stop along certain stretches of the park. May it be for picnicking, swimming, and some hiking.
The only campground, the Paul M. Demmick campground, is currently closed due to flood damage as of 2017.
